Aussies are an energetic breed and are incredibly intelligent. While Aussies are great indoor pets, they are a herding breed and love to run. Whether you have a larger fenced in yard for play or would love to take your new best friend for a run, be sure to allow your pup plenty of access to the outdoors and sunshine for lots of exercise! 

 

Aussies have a double coat that can be straight or wavy. These pups are average shedders and require a quick brush every now and again to keep their coat fluffy. 

 

Australian Shepherds are loyal and loving. They make great companions and are wonderful family pets, doing well with children and other dogs! Aussies are  phenomenal working farm dogs, given their natural herding instincts. Some of our pups have also gone on to compete in sports, such as AKC scent work!

 

Lascassas Aussies is committed to producing healthy, well-tempered, pure-bred pups that are up to breed standards. We participate in genetic testing through Embark to ensure clear genetic panels. We carefully evaluate the temperaments of our adult breeding dogs to pass down these great traits to our future pups. All breeding adults are ASDR registered, some are also AKC registered. All puppies will come with an ASDR registry application. 
 

Australian Shepherds range in size from toy to standard.

TOY: 10-14 inches (12-18lbs)

MINIATURE: 14-18 inches (20-40 lbs)

STANDARD: 18-23 inches (45-65lbs)

Lascassas Aussies does not breed for toy size, but sometimes we do get a smaller puppy that would qualify as a toy based on the qualifications above. We will try to make that distinction, if applicable, when we announce that puppy on facebook.
