About the Breed
"Australian shepherd"
"smart/work-oriented/exuberant"
-american Kennel club
Australian shepherds are an incredibly intelligent and energetic breed. they make phenomenal companions, household pets, herders, working farm dogs, and more! they are highly trainable and adaptable. because of their energy and genetic background in herding, they require mental stimulation and exercise. whether you have a large fenced in yard for play or cant wait to take your new best friend for a run with you.. please be sure to allow your Aussie plenty of access to the outdoors and sunshine for lots of exercise and play, to ensure that you and your best friend are happy and healthy!
Aussies have a medium length double coat that can be straight or wavy. These pups shed moderately and require a quick brush every now and again to keep their coat fluffy and help with shedding.
Australian Shepherds are loyal and loving. they are known to be affectionate with their family and they do well with young children and other dogs.
lascassas Aussies has produced many puppies that have gone on to be excellent pets, service dogs, have competed in AKC competitions, been working dogs, and even "mold dogs"!
we are committed to ethically and responsibly breeding. adults are health tested prior to breeding through embark. miniatures are asdr registered. most of our standards are dual registered with AKC and asdr.
Australian Shepherds range in size from toy to standard.
MINIATURE: 14-18 inches (typically 20-40 lbs)
STANDARD: 18-23 inches (typically 45-65lbs)
